However, warranty provider MB&G has warned holidaymakers about checking the most common faults before they set off to ensure that do not have to make an unnecessary claim on their protection policy.

The company noted that water ingress, fridge faults, battery charging systems, toilet faults and water taps as being the most claimed instances that it has received.

Officials advocated that people take out extended warranty to safeguard themselves in the event of any unforeseen costs.

Caravan show time


THE countdown to the South and West Wales Caravan and Motorhome Show in Carmarthen is under way.

Carmarthen’s Nantyci showground is the venue for the event, which takes place between Friday, May 10, and Sunday, May 12.

This year, in addition to the regular trade stands, there will be stands selling static holiday caravans, camper vans and awnings.

As a family show, there will be plenty of other attractions, including a static exhibition by the Towy Valley Vintage Club displaying an array of over 30 vintage vehicles from cars, motorbikes, push bikes, tractors to stationary and model engines.
