The May bank holiday is approaching and, for caravan owners, that will mean having a little break in one of the many sites around the country.

However, warranty provider MB&G has warned holidaymakers about checking the most common faults before they set off to ensure that do not have to make an unnecessary claim on their protection policy.

The company noted that water ingress, fridge faults, battery charging systems, toilet faults and water taps as being the most claimed instances that it has received.

Officials advocated that people take out extended warranty to safeguard themselves in the event of any unforeseen costs.
